David Fiszel is the founder and Chief Investment Officer of Honeycomb Asset Management, a New York-based investment firm he launched in 2016. The firm opened with roughly $200 million in assets under management and has since grown to over $1 billion, reflecting Fiszel's long-term, research-driven approach to investing. David announced to all investors in 2025, the firm would return outside capital invested in public markets. He continues to manage the Honeycomb private portfolio to maximize value and is currently focused on making his own investments.
Fiszel brings more than 25 years of investing experience to Honeycomb. Before founding the firm, he held roles at leading investment managers including Omega Advisors, where he was a partner and financial analyst, S.A.C. Capital, where he served as a portfolio manager, and Point72 Asset Management, where he was a senior portfolio manager. Throughout his career, he was mentored by top industry leaders who helped shape his investment discipline.
His investment approach centers on identifying innovation-driven businesses, with particular focus on the technology, media, and consumer sectors. Honeycomb applies a hybrid strategy across public equities and private growth companies, reflecting Fiszel's conviction in backing strong businesses through multiple stages of their development.
Outside of Honeycomb, Fiszel is an active philanthropist. He earned a BBA in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin and founded the Fiszel Family Foundation, which supports education and healthcare initiatives.
